About CELT Athens
CELT Athens is a Cambridge-approved TEFL training centre in the heart of Athens. We run intensive 4-week CELTA courses every month, plus part-time and online options.
Our trainers are all CELTA-qualified with over 10 years of teaching experience. We pride ourselves on small class sizes (max 12 trainees) and on-the-job teaching practice with real adult ESL learners.
Graduates of our programmes go on to teach in over 30 countries. We maintain close relationships with language schools across Greece, Spain, Italy, and the Middle East, and offer post-course job-placement support.

"I'd seen plenty of TEFL adverts promising 'small classes' but CELT Athens actually delivered. There were 8 of us, and Aris gave me proper structured feedback after every single teaching practice. By week 3 I felt completely ready to walk into a classroom. Three months later I'm teaching full-time in Thessaloniki."
Excellent course. The teaching practice with real students was incredibly valuable — I felt fully prepared by the end. Trainers were patient and supportive, and the campus is a 5-minute walk from a metro stop. I was hired in Greece within a fortnight of finishing.
Thank you Hannah — we're so glad you had a great experience and even more pleased that you're already teaching in Greece. Best of luck with the new role.
Intense 4 weeks, but worth every hour. Loved the diversity of student levels we got to teach. One small note — the job-placement service was more "advice" than concrete leads, so plan accordingly. Otherwise outstanding.
Very tough month but the most useful professional training I've done. The first teaching practice was terrifying; by the last one I felt confident. Aris and the team make the difference — they genuinely want you to succeed.
