Your honest review — good, bad, or somewhere in between — is one of the most useful things you can give someone deciding between hundreds of TEFL providers. Takes 3 minutes. Stays anonymous if you want.
Unlike a star-rating in a review box buried on Google, your review here lives on the school's listing page for years — read by thousands of prospective teachers actively comparing courses.
Our reviews are the #1 ranked result on Google for "tefl course reviews". A single detailed review can be read by hundreds of people per month for years.
Every review is hand-moderated. Schools can reply, but they can't delete. Fake reviews get removed. That's why people trust us.
Eight specific criteria (course content, practice teaching, job assistance, etc.) — no long essays needed unless you want to write one.
The best reviews on TCR are the ones future teachers actually find helpful when they're deciding. Here's the shape of a great one.
This is a real format from one of our most-read reviews. Specific, balanced, and honest about the trade-offs.
Intensive four-week CELTA — exactly what I needed. The course covers grammar, methodology, classroom management and lesson planning in a sensible order, with eight hours of assessed teaching practice spread across the second half. Trainers (Maria and Jorge in my case) were experienced and gave detailed, written feedback within 24 hours. Practice classes were with real adult learners across pre-int / upper-int — felt like the real thing. The only weak spot was post-course job support; we got a list of email contacts but no active introductions. Worth it overall.
We never auto-approve. That's slower, but it's why our reviews are still trusted 17 years on.
Form lands in our moderation queue. You'll see a "thanks, awaiting review" message immediately.
We cross-check the IP, the email handle, and look for signs of plagiarism or fake submissions.
Against our 9-point content checklist — last names removed, no marketing, no defamation, etc.
Approved reviews go live within 3 working days. We'll email you a link when it's up.
